Summer and sunshine is truly at the heart of Rhythmetic’s 30th release. Soulful, golden, and blissful are the only words to describe this fresh EP from the Greek imprint. The label welcomes another newcomer, Marianto. Her first release as a producer, her feminine touch of warm Deep House is complimented with returning remixers, Thodoris Triantafillou & Cj Jeff. Pieced together, the two halves make one whole of sonic pleasure. Absolutely one to be played this Ibiza season or whatever beach one may find themselves, it will be no surprise to hear it played the world over.
The title track beings the pack from the Berlin based producer. Bubbly and bouncing percussion carry an infectious groove over soft piano chords and a vocal that nods at classic R&B. A track about love and happiness, it is the ultimate feel good arrangement creating drama in all of the right places. Alternating keys and vocal play build into a steady groove that makes the soul smile and keeps feet moving.
Next up, the more dance floor ready remix from Thodoris Triantafillou & Cj Jeff bring a heated rendition of the original. Relying on the same elements from Marianto’s work, the two bring piano, vocal, and swinging drum elements into a satisfying low groover.
As Marianto’s first release, her passion and talent are obvious and celebrated by a label that knows great artists when it sees them. As the catalog reaches the 30’s, it’s safe to say many more producers will have their start showing off their abilities to rock club land. Splashes of dreamy sunshine and enchanting melodies make Simple World a summer smash. Planning such sounds with the season is a nice touch by the imprint, proving once again their coordination with the dance community and rising young stars.
